Position |
Job Description |
|
President |
2 year term. Shall preside at all general meetings and executive meetings of the Association. The President shall generally supervise all the affairs of the Association and shall be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of the programs of the Association. The President shall also represent the Association at Lower Mainland Minor Lacrosse Commission Meetings and the BCLA Annual Meeting. If the President is unable to carry out his/her duties, he/she shall appoint a Vice President to do so. |

Director Operations |
2 year term. Responsible for recruiting and supervising a tournament chair and committee; and the facilities. Also responsible for arranging team photos. |

Treasurer |
2 year term. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to receive all monies paid to the Association and to deposit the same in a bank designated by the Executive; to present all bills or claims against the Association to the Executive and see the same are promptly paid; to collect all dues, fees or monies owing to the Association an to give receipts therefore; to keep an accurate record of all monies received and disbursed; to have the books of the association audited by an auditor appointed by the Executive; and to make a report which includes a budget for the coming year, at every Annual Meeting of the Association. |

Secretary |
2 year term. Responsible to attend and record minutes of all Executive meetings and the Annual General Meeting, preparing and distributing minutes to the appropriate persons and shall submit all required reports, documents as required under the Societies Act. |

Registrar |
2 year term. Responsible for the administration by filing of all player registration forms. To insure that player registrations are filed with BCLA by the deadline and in the form prescribed by BCLA. To provide registration statistics and mailing lists when requested by the Executive. To ensure that the proper registration forms are available to the membership at the beginning of each season. The Registrar shall appoint assistants as needed. |

Director Coaching |
2 year term. Responsible for recruiting and supervising the Coaches and by extension managing the coaching requirements of the Association. Also responsible for winter development programs. |

Director Referees |
2 year term. Responsible for recruiting, paying and supervising the Referees and by extension scheduling the refereeing requirements of the Association. |
|
Director Equipment |
2 year term. Responsible for identifying equipment and uniform needs, sourcing cost effective supplies, inventory management, distribution and collection. |
|
Director Fundraising |
2 year term. Responsible for public relations, promotions, fundraising, volunteer management for fundraising and communications of the Association's affairs. |
|
Director Communications |
2 year term. Responsible for the distribution of information of the association to members and the community through the communication channels of web, email, newsletters and media. To assist in the promotion and marketing of SMLA planned events. Control and permit usage of the SMLA logo and brand. |
