New PeeWee B Rock News (28 July 2010)

Our cross bay rivals from Delta may have won the Gold, however, we did do well against them in regular season play with 1 win, 1 loss and 1 tie.  Even though we did not bring home a medal, members of the squad were honoured at the Provincials held July 22-25:

- Hunter Ipsen won the Fair Play award

- Randy Ellis won the Fair Play coach award for Pee Wee B

- Gleb Krasalymova was selected to the Pee Wee B All Star team

Our season record was 26 wins, 10 losses and 4 ties (includes 3 tournaments, 2 playoff games plus provincials) - great work team!

Bantam Rock Win Bronze at Provincials (19 July 2010)

Congratulations to our Bantam B team for winning the bronze medal at the 2010 Provincial Championships held July 8-11 in Richmond.  Kudos also go out to Janke Hanna for winning a Warrior Fair Play Award and to Jessie Young for being named to the All-Star Team.

While our Bantam A2 team didn't medal, three of its members took home awards: Kevin Filewich won a Warrior Fair Play Award, Connor Aves was named to the All-Star Team, and Dave Filipenko won the Warrior Fair Play Coach Award.

At the 2010 Midget Provincials held July 14-18 in Mission, our Midget A2 team didn't medal, however two of its members took home awards: Jordan Penner won a Warrior Fair Play Award, while Tyson McNamara was named to the All-Star Team.

Rock Teams Advance to Provincials (13 July 2010)

Congratulations go out to our Midget A2, Bantam A2, Bantam B and PeeWee B teams for making it to their Provincial Championships!

The Midget A2 squad swept Ridge Meadows and Surrey to reach the Provincials, to be held in Mission, while the Bantam A2's swept both North Delta and Abbotsford to make it to the show.  The Bantam B team joined the A2's in Richmond after knocking off New Westminster 1 and Chilliwack in two straight games each.  Our PeeWee B unit got a bye to the second round of its playoffs and took out Ridge Meadows in two matches to win a trip up the 99 for their Provincials in Delta.
